I made a WWRY fanfic, Sailing to the Seven Seas of Rhye. It is a pirate AU and everybody still wears their signature outfits but with some alterations: The Bohemians are pirates so they wear pirate hats, bandanas, sashes, and carry swords, knives, guns, bombs, and other weapons while the GaGas have Rococo makeover added to their outfits with a bit of a futuristic detail. Scaramouche is a petty thief who would rather dress the way she wants but she later becomes a pirate with Galileo Figaro. BTW, I added some Little Mermaid and Peter Pan references in the movie.
I also added the music artists as merfolk, with the members of Queen as the merkings (Freddie Mercury rules the Indian Ocean, Brian May rules the Atlantic Ocean, Roger has the Arctic and the Southern Ocean, and John Deacon is the king of the Pacific Ocean). The merkingdoms have their culture based on the countries near or on it (the Indian Ocean has Indian, East African, Middle Eastern, Southeast Asian, and a hint of Chinese, the Atlantic Ocean has British, West African, South American, and North American inspiration, the Arctic has Scandinavian and Northern influence and Aztec or Mayan mixed to it from the Southern Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean has its culture based on the Oceanian Islands, New Zealand, and the Philippines).
The story has Queen Island, which becomes the Bohemians' home. It is home to magical creatures, weird animals, fairies, a tribe (their culture is inspired from Bali, and the South Pacific), weird fauna, and a group of girls called the Lost Girls. I still need to do some worldbuilding for this because I am taking inspiration from real-life cultures and nature to complete this.
